Job Description

We are currently looking for a SAP EWM Lead Consultant for one of our global clients with international exposure and a solid growth opportunity.


Details:

  • Location: Remote with 30%-40% travel to Germany

Scope of Work:

Project Leadership & Execution:

  • Lead the SAP EWM project stream, managing a team of functional and technical consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance for EWM, FIORI, and MFS to support the EWM project stream.

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to keep the project on track and within scope.
  • Develop inputs for the project plan, including time estimates, cost breakdowns, work structure, and schedules for the EWM stream.
  • Estimate resource workload for the stream.
  • Ensure proper resource planning, including both internal staff and external consultants to meet project objectives.
  • Monitor stream progress and maintain project plans to meet objectives within defined timelines.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities in alignment with the project plan and milestones.

Stakeholder & Risk Management:

  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including the overall project manager, senior management, and business teams, providing updates on progress, issues, and risks.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, including technical, functional, and business-related challenges.
  • Resolve technical and operational issues during implementation and post-go-live.

Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and Business Process Owners (BPOs) to gather and document requirements and gaps from the template solution, translating them into an SAP EWM solution.
  • Design and configure SAP EWM based on Rockwool’s template solution, ensuring best practices and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Oversee the configuration and integration of SAP EWM, including:
    • Master data setup
    • Warehouse structure and inventory management
    • Integration with SAP modules (PP, MM, LES) and external services (FIORI, WCS, terminals, printers, RFID)
  • Plan and manage testing phases (unit, integration, and UAT) to ensure the system meets business requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for super users, ensuring effective knowledge transfer post-implementation.

Continuous Improvement & Optimization:

  • Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the SAP EWM system to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from the EWM project team to the EWM support team.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations and process changes.
  • Foster a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused environment across project streams and departments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Supply Chain, with a focus on Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Master’s Degree in Logistics Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in EWM project management.
  • Experience with at least 2 full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations, consistently meeting delivery, cost, and time targets while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Strong functional expertise in supply chain processes.
  • Cross-functional SAP ERP Analyst experience, covering:
    • Transportation Management (TM)
    • Production Planning (PP)
    • Material Management (MM)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with users from various nationalities.
  • Experience working with international and remote teams for both operational support and project delivery.

Module-Specific Expertise:

  • SAP expertise in EWM, FIORI, and MFS.
  • Experience with inbound, internal, and outbound warehouse flows, including strategies for integrating EWM with PP, MM, and TM.
  • Warehouse Master Data (EWM) experience.
  • Industry experience in warehouse execution is an advantage.
