We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in clustering technologies, specifically Pacemaker, and strong knowledge of hyperscale platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud). The ideal candidate will be proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and capable of designing high-availability solutions for cloud-hosted applications, particularly SAP workloads.
This role will involve leading proof of concept (PoC) projects, collaborating with internal and external teams, and producing robust technical documentation.
Scope:
The primary focus will be on:
- Delivering Pacemaker-based clustering configurations on RHEL and SLES systems.
- Supporting SAP workloads in highly available cloud infrastructures.
- Leveraging hyperscale platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud) for cloud-native HA solutions.
- Leading Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives and producing technical documentation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure operational stability.
This role is critical in ensuring uptime, performance, and availability for mission-critical services in an enterprise environment.

Core Technical Skills:
- Deep hands-on experience with Pacemaker clustering (resource agents, fencing, quorum management).
- Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
- Proven knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM Cloud.
- Experience with SAP workloads (SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver, HANA DB) in clustered/cloud environments.
- Understanding of system administration, OS-level tuning, and cluster-aware configurations.
- Familiarity with database clustering (especially HANA, optionally DB2).
Cloud & Infrastructure Skills:
- Designing and implementing multi-cloud HA architectures.
- Integrating cloud-native HA tools with traditional clustering technologies.
- Infrastructure automation knowledge (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
